Day 24 – Freeing up a Stuck Brake Drum
In a earlier post, I was having difficulty removing the brake drum on the passenger side. I damaged the side of the drum by hitting it with a small sledgehammer. At any rate, I was able pop by Less Steger’s shop to have him take a look at it. After a few short minutes he was able to remove it for me. The brake adjusters in the back of the housing had rusted in place, eliminating the chance for easy adjustment. Now, with that drum off I can disassemble the brake housing and prepare it for paint.
