Day 28 – Building a Wooden Pallet Work Table

One of the challenges in working outside this time of year is all the leaves coming off the trees…parts are easily misplaced on the ground. So, late in the day today I decided to try and re-purpose an old pallet that I had next to my garage. The goal: turn it into a work table. For the legs, I used two 2″x4″ pieces of lumber, and two more additional 2″x4″‘s for the cross braces. On the top, I broke up another pallet that I had and used that to fill in the spaces. Afterwards, I reinforced all four legs so I could put plenty of weight on the table without it collapsing. I had to build this table so tomorrow I can put the shocks on it, rough up the paint that is on them and re-paint them to match the rest of the buggy. It was just too difficult working hunched over on the ground. And, like I said…with leaves scattered all over the place.
