Day 32 – Cleaned, Primed, & Painted the Steering Mount Bracket

Since I am trying to document each step in this build, I thought I would go ahead and put this out there as well. One of the tools that I thought did a great job was a flap disc sanding pad installed on my Harbor Frieght 4″ grinder. It really cleaned up the weld joint so it was almost smooth. Had I worked it a little longer it probably would have been a little better, but, I was happy with the end result just the same. I sprayed some primer paint on afterwards, then applied Rustoleum yellow, orange, and red paint. Hey…it may not be a huge success but at least it’s one less thing I have to do tomorrow. Here’s the pics.
