Day 32 – Installed the IRS Conversion Swing Plates

You may have read in my recent post that I put these guys together but, I really wasn’t sure that the install was correct…so, I waited to hear back from my good friend Less Steger. Less confirmed that I had the installation correct, so I went ahead and tightened everything up. Originally I thought the swing plates would be out of alignment with the rear trailing arms…well, after I adjusted the heim joint and installed each swing plate they seemed to line up right. Glad that’s done, now I can focus on putting the rear axles together and connecting them to the transmission. Here are some pics!
