Today I’m going to install a 2,500 pound winch I bought a couple of weeks ago from Harbour Freight. The first thing I have to do is remount the dual horns that I previously installed, they are in the way. Okay, moved the horns back…now to position the winch mounting plate. I used some bolts and other hardware that I picked up at Home Depot. Drilled some holes, and mounted the plate. Once that was done, I bolted on the winch. Next, my buddy Kevin stopped by and said hey, “Why don’t you just mount the roller fairlead here” pointing at a location in between the front beam. “Great idea” I thought…and so it was. Welded in the roller fairlead, grinded my welds, and sprayed some paint. Done!
